Quando a Terra é invadida por um exército de alienigenas, chamado de Arm of Orion, o governo decide criar a 8th Armored Infantry, que é formada pelos melhores soldados e pelas armas mais poderosas.
Section 8 é um jogo de tiro em primeira pessoa que lembra os famosos games “Battlefield” e “Counter Strike“, que traz por exemplo o sistema de domínio de pontos estratégicos do cenário, o uso de veículos e a possibilidade de comprar equipamentos e armas durante a partida. Mas para quem pensa que as armas e os equipamentos aparecem do nada, se enganou, eles chegam com entregas realizadas de modo aéreo, que deixa o jogo ainda mais realista.
O jogo terá suporte para 32 jogadores simultâneos, divididos em times espalhados pelos mapas.
Section 8 deverá ser lançado no quarto trimestre de 2009, para as plataformas PC, Playstation 3 e Xbox 360.
